Lifting weights is an artform, blending science with good old elbow grease...and intensity is key.

But what exactly is intensity? Does it mean lifting super heavy weights all the time?

No, it can be defined by volume moreso...sets, reps, resting time, and using training protocols liks drop sets, pyramids, super sets etc.

The older athlete (40+) needs to walk a tight rope between enough intensity to SEE results and enough recovery time (recovery is key at this age).
